Calandivas are commonly sold as indoor plants. In more temperate climates (zones 10a-11b) they grow outdoors. When I lived in Santa Barbara, I grew them in pots on my covered front porch year round. You could put yours outdoors for the summer but just make sure it's out of direct sun and don't let it stay too wet.
